The mechanisms for the demise of society have been in place for decades, even before I was born, but I started to bear witness to the moral decline, the rise in misogyny and profanity in the music and entertainment industries in the past twenty years, while raising my 4 young daughters. It was blatant to me, but when I brought it up with my daughters, they said I was being overly sensitive. I told them they had become desensitized. It was apparent to me that Hollywood was programming our youth to accept violence and a lack of values as a norm. This is nothing like the entertainment industry I grew up with in the 60’s and 70’s.

Further, l wouldn't doubt that sadness is being pathologized and labeled as depression, when it may really be a normal result of what is being observed going on in the world. Then comes the antidepressant prescription, which can numb affect. I'd suspect that would further contribute to the acceptance of corruption and violence. Just a thought.
Myriam--This piece lives up to the title of your blog. Much of what you describe derives from atheism becoming the state religion of America, starting in the early 1960s (school prayer decisions). But, it really goes back earlier than that, with the sick infiltration by Leftist forces into our government and society--dating back to Woodrow Wilson.
All we can do at this point is to try to influence our family and those close to us. Be patient with your daughters. They were born into "the Borg."

I couldn’t agree more. I had a serious stroke in 2017 but had been very healthy prior. I didn’t have much luck in finding a primary care physician for quite some time. After that I did acquire a young doctor that seemed not only knowledgeable but not overly invested in insisting upon pharmaceuticals to tackle some of my issues. I have since gone down the rabbit hole to look into natural remedies that have worked well without the nasty side affects.
I have two now grown children and I remain very concerned for them. Social media is a poison that is insidious and clearly intentional. Yeah, violence and excessive graphic sex are promoted more and more. People don’t see the correlation between pornography and all manner of sexual exploitation. Child sec trafficking has now passed the sale of firearms on the black market. I just learned that single most lucrative day for the sale of sex slaves is super bowl Sunday. How sick is that? Experts attribute this to the desire to celebrate/commiserate your favored team winning or losing. I mean WTF is wrong with people. Apparently this is so prolific that it is likely to surpass the drug trade. This means that at any given time, in any given place there are quite likely people right next to you that participate in this horror.
Gotta wonder how this is gonna end. Evil is part of our genetic makeup cause it’s been here all along.

The universities are teaching Marxism unbeknownst to the parents. I just recently figured that out but it wasn’t with my two oldest. It was with the two youngest who are 27 and 23. Somethings shifted in the schools.
The lack of civility troubles me along with the apathy toward corruption and corruption of children.
